Peter Hardeman Burnett (15 November 1807 – 17 Mei 1895) adalah seorang politisi Amerika Serikat yang menjabat sebagai gubernur California pertama dari 20 Desember 1849 sampai 9 Januari 1851. Dia merupakan gubernur California pertama yang mengundurkan diri dari jabatannya. Burnett sebelumnya menjabat sebentar selama Desember 1849 sebagai gubernur sipil wilayah California. [1]
