Phryma nana adalah spesies tumbuhan berbunga dalam famili Phrymaceae, yang berasal dari Jepang.[1] Tumbuhan ini pertama kali dideskripsikan oleh botanis Jepang Gen-ichi Koidzumi pada tahun 1939.[3] Statusnya sebagai spesies terpisah biasanya tidak diterima, dan ia diperlakukan sebagai subspesies atau varietas dari Phryma leptostachya. Pada tahun 2016, keunikan P. nana asal Jepang kembali didukung, berdasarkan analisis filogenetika molekuler terdahulu dan analisis morfologi.[2][4] Hingga April 2022, spesies ini diakui oleh Plants of the World Online.[1]
