Renin

Renin (bahasa Inggris: renin, angiotensinogenase) adalah protein protease aspartat dan suatu enzim yang disekresikan oleh ginjal ke sirkulasi dalam merespons hipotensi renal dan hiponatremia. Pelepasan renin juga dapat dipicu oleh aktivasi β1-adrenoseptor.[1][2]

Prekursor renin merupakan sebuah peptida dengan panjang 406 rantai asam amino. Renin sendiri memiliki rantai sepanjang 340 asam amino dengan massa 37 kDa.[3]
