Ribes laurifolium, yang dikenal sebagai laurel-leaved currant, adalah spesies tumbuhan berbunga dalam keluarga Grossulariaceae, yang berasal dari Tiongkok, di Guizhou, Sichuan Barat, dan Yunnan.[1]
Gambaran umum
Tumbuh hingga ketinggian maksimal 1 m (3,3 ft) dengan lebar 15 m (49 ft), perdu hijau abadi dan berumah dua (dioecious) ini memiliki daun berbentuk daun salam, serta menghasilkan kelompok bunga menggantung berwarna krem dengan semburat hijau pada musim dingin dan awal musim semi. Bunga-bunga tersebut kemudian diikuti oleh buah berwarna merah yang berubah menjadi hitam pada musim gugur di tanaman betina.[2]
Di kebun, tanaman ini cocok ditanam di tempat yang cerah dan terlindung dengan tanah yang lembap secara konsisten.
