Sedum villosum, yang dikenal sebagai hairy stonecrop[2] atau purple stonecrop,[3] adalah tanaman berbunga dwitahunan hingga menahun. Daunnya, yang berukuran 3–8 mm (0,1–0,3 in) panjangnya dan mungkin berwarna kemerahan, umumnya tertutup bulu, meskipun S. villosum var. glabratum mungkin memiliki daun yang tidak berbulu. Bunga individu memiliki lima kelopak berwarna merah muda, masing-masing dengan panjang hingga 5 mm (0,2 in).[4]

Tanaman ini berasal dari Greenland, Islandia, serta Eropa utara dan tengah, hingga ke timur sampai Lituania dan Polandia. Tanaman ini juga tercatat ditemukan di pulau-pulau di Kanada bagian tenggara.[5] Di Inggris, tanaman ini ditemukan sejauh selatan hingga Yorkshire bagian tengah.[4] Dibandingkan dengan spesies lain dalam genus Sedum, tanaman ini tidak lazim karena lebih menyukai habitat yang lembap.[5]
