Schizostachyum arunachalense H.B.Naithani | |
Stapletonia arunachalensis (sin. Schizostachyum arunachalense)[2] adalah sejenis bambu dalam tribus Bambuseae dan subtribus Melocanninae dalam famili Poaceae. Tumbuhan ini endemik di negara bagian Arunachal Pradesh, India. Batangnya tumbuh setinggi 3–15 m (10–50 ft) dengan diameter 6–7 cm (2,4–2,8 in), serta memiliki ruas yang sangat panjang, hingga 15 m (49 ft), yang kemungkinan merupakan yang terpanjang dari semua jenis bambu.[3][4] Ini adalah salah satu dari sedikit bambu yang memiliki buah berdaging, berdiameter 5 cm dan secara sekilas menyerupai apel.[3]
Spesies ini pertama kali dideskripsikan sebagai Schizostachyum arunachalense oleh Harsh Bardhan Naithani pada tahun 1992. Pada tahun 2008, Paramjit Singh et al. menempatkan spesies ini ke dalam genus Stapletonia sebagai Stapletonia arunachalensis.[1]
