"Sundown at Midnight" adalah sebuah lagu yang diciptakan dan dinyanyikan oleh Fariz RM. Lagu ini dirilis dalam album Living in the Western World pada tahun 1988.

Latar belakang

Ditulis sebagai sekuel dari lagu "Barcelona",[1] lagu tercetus pada saat Fariz RM sedang transit di Bandar Udara Internasional Schiphol, Amsterdam, Belanda dalam perjalanan pulang kembali ke tanah air dan menyaksikan orang-orang yang melakukan perpisahan sebelum penerbangan.[1]

Komposisi dan struktur

Lagu terdiri dari aransemen musik pop sederhana,[2] dengan birama 44 serta tempo 85 ketuk per menit atau moderato.[3]

Tanggapan

Meski tidak menjadi hits seperti lagu-lagu lain dalam album yang sama, lagu "Sundown at Midnight" disebut memiliki para penggemar tersendiri.[1] Oleh karena popularitasnya, lagu tersebut hadir pada album kompilasi Dua Dekade pada tahun 2001 serta dalam bentuk medley pada dua album studio yaitu Super Medley dan Mix!, masing-masing pada tahun 1998 dan 2004.
