Sungai Cherwell adalah anak sungai Thames di Inggris bagian tengah. Sungai ini berhulu di dekat Hellidon, Northamptonshire dan mengalir ke selatan sejauh 40 mil (64 km) untuk bertemu dengan aliran Sungai Thames di Oxford di Oxfordshire . [1]
Sungai ini dinamai berdasarkan Cherwell, sebuah surat kabar mahasiswa Oxford. Sungai Cherwell merupakan satu dari dua sungai utama yang ada di kota Oxford, selain sungat Thames.
