Tamarix senegalensis adalah spesies tumbuhan berbunga dari famili Tamaricaceae.[2] Tumbuhan ini berupa pohon atau semak beranting yang tumbuh di tanah asin, gurun berpasir, dan pesisir laut.[3]
Deskripsi
Tamarix senegalensis adalah semak besar yang mencapai tinggi 2–5 meter. Tumbuhan ini memiliki banyak daun kecil. Di Tanjung Verde, tumbuhan ini disebut tarrafe, dan nama terkait tarrafal telah diberikan kepada sejumlah wilayah.[4]
Distribusi dan ekologi
Tamarix senegalensis ditemukan di dan dekat pesisir Afrika barat laut (Maroko, Mauritania, Senegal) serta kepulauan Tanjung Verde.[3][5]
