Owl City adalah sebuah proyek musik elektronik oleh penyanyi-pengarang lagu dan multi-instrumentalis Adam Young yang dibentuk tahun 2007 di Owatonna, Minnesota. Young membuat proyek ini saat bereksperimen dengan musik di ruang bawah tanah rumah orang tuanya. Owl City mendapat perhatian luas di situs jejaring sosial Myspace, seperti musisi lain yang sukses pada akhir 2000-an, sebelum bergabung dengan Universal Republic tahun 2008.
Setelah dua rilis berbeda, Owl City mendapat popularitas tinggi melalui album debut berlabel besarnya pada tahun 2009, Ocean Eyes, yang di dalamnya terdapat singel pemenang empat penghargaan platinum[1] "Fireflies". Album ini masuk kategori Platinum di Amerika Serikat pada bulan April 2010.[1]
Pada tahun 2011, Owl City merilis album studio ketiganya, All Things Bright and Beautiful,[2] Diikuti The Midsummer Station pada bulan Agustus 2012,dan yang terbaru adalah album mini yang bernama Ultraviolet. Di dalamnya terdapat lagu:-Beautiful Times -Wolf Bite -Up All Night -This Is'n The End
