Thouinia paucidentata adalah tumbuhan yang terutama ditemukan di negara bagian Campeche, Yucatán, dan Quintana Roo di Meksiko bagian selatan. Dikenal dengan nama Maya K’anchunup, tumbuhan ini digunakan untuk pengobatan oleh tabib setempat. Nama dalam bahasa Spanyol termasuk hueso de tigre (tulang harimau) dan madera dura (kayu keras).
