Upawasa

Upawasa (Sanskerta: upavāsa) ialah istilah puasa dalam agama Hindu, yang bertujuan untuk mendekatkan diri kepada Sang Hyang Widhi. Upawasa dalam agama Hindu tidak hanya menahan makan dan minum saja, tetapi juga mengendalikan nafsu indrawi atau keinginan. Upawasa adalah satu bagian dari praktik Brata.[1]
