Alkoholiza – rodzaj transestryfikacji, reakcja substytucji jednej reszty alkoholowej na inną w estrze typu[1]:


Może być katalizowana kwasem lub zasadą[1]. Jeżeli przeprowadzana jest przez rozpuszczenie estru w docelowym alkoholu, to ma charakter solwolizy[2].
