Spiccato (wym. spikkato; wł. urywając) jest techniką artykulacji w grze na instrumentach smyczkowych i polega na specjalnie ostrym i krótkim pociąganiu smyczkiem przy każdej nucie ze zmianą kierunku smyczka; inaczej jest to ostre staccato. Jest to równocześnie jeden z rodzajów techniki smyczkowania. W zapisie nutowym sposób ten zaznaczony jest pionowymi klinami nad nutami. Technika ta spotykana jest także w grze na innych instrumentach (np. na fortepianie) - jest to bardzo wyraziste, ostre staccato, polegające na znacznym skróceniu czasu trwania dźwieku w stosunku do wartości rytmicznej, po czym następuje pauza dłuższa niż czas trwania dźwięku). Oznaczenie w nutach jest także za pomocą klinów nad nutami, lub słownie.
