Thomas Ward "Tom" Darling (ur. 4 maja 1958) – amerykański wioślarz, srebrny medalista olimpijski.

Kariera

Wystąpił na igrzyskach olimpijskich w Los Angeles w 1984, gdzie osada USA w składzie: Chip Lubsen, Andrew Sudduth, John Terwilliger, Christopher Penny, Tom Darling, Fred Borchelt, Charles Clapp, Bruce Ibbetson i Bob Jaugstetter (sternik) zdobyła srebrny medal w tej konkurencji. W finale uplasowali się o 0,42 sekundy za osadą Kanady i o 1,66 sekundy przed osadą Australii[1]. Na rozgrywanych cztery lata później igrzyskach olimpijskich w Seulu startował w czwórkach ze sternikiem, kończąc rywalizację na piątej pozycji[2].

Był też między innymi czwarty w czwórkach ze sternikiem na mistrzostwach świata w Bledzie (1979), gdzie osada USA przegrała walkę o podium z osadą RFN o 0,02 sekundy[3].

Kształcił się na Syracuse University i Uniwersytecie Bostońskim. Po zakończeniu kariery pracował w sektorze finansowym[4].
