Apoteosis
Apoteosis (dari bahasa Yunani ἀποθέωσις dari ἀποθεόω/ἀποθεῶ, apotheoo/apotheo "untuk disembah"; dalam bahasa Latin: deificatio "didewakan"; juga disebut pengilahian dan pendewaan) merupakan penempatan seseorang pada pangkat dewa atau surga. Dalam seni, istilah ini merujuk pada perlakuan terhadap subjek apa pun (gambar, grup, motif, konvensi atau melodi). Arti dari istilah ini telah banyak berubah seiiring dengan perjalanan sejarah.
