Sejarah

Athis-Mons dibentuk tahun 1817 dengan menggabungkan 2 desa, Athis (tepi Sein) dan Mons (di plateau terdekat). Sekarang bagian bawah komune disebut Athis-Val.

Geografi

Athis-Mons terletak di persimpangan sungai Orge dan Seine, dan di sisi selatan Bandar Udara Orly.

Administrasi

Kanton Athis-Mons memiliki 2 komune (lainnya Paray-Vieille-Poste) dan 36.615 jiwa. Athis Mons adalah kota kembar dari Ballina di Irlandia.
