Taverny merupakan sebuah komune di pinggiran kota baratlaut Paris, Prancis. Terletak 21.2 km (13.2 mil) dari pusat kota Paris.
Sejarah
Tahun 1806 komune Taverny digabungkan dengan komune Saint-Leu, menghasilkan pembentukan komune Saint-Leu-Taverny.
Tahun 1821 komune Saint-Leu-Taverny dipisahkan. Kemudian, Taverny dan Saint-Leu ditetapkan sebagai komune terpisah.
Tanggal 30 Maret 1922, sebagian teritori Taverny digabungkan dengan bagian teritori Montigny-lès-Cormeilles dan Pierrelaye untuk membentuk komune Beauchamp.
Demografi
Pada sensus 1999, jumlah penduduknya mencapai 25.909 jiwa. Perkiraan untuk tahun 2005 adalah 26.500.
Penduduknya disebut Tabernacians.
Angkutan
Taverny dilayani oleh dua stasiun jalur rel pinggiran Transilien Paris – Nord: Vaucelles dan Taverny.
