Chuck Hagel
Charles Timothy Hagel, atau biasa dipanggil Chuck Hagel (lahir 4 Oktober 1946) ialah politikus Amerika Serikat yang kini menjabat sebagai Menteri Pertahanan Amerika Serikat sejak tahun 2013. Ia juga mantan senator Amerika Serikat dari Nebraska sejak 1997 hingga 2009.
Ia lulus dari St. Bonaventure High School, Columbus, Nebraska; lulus dari Brown Institute for Radio and Television, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 1966; dan lulus dari Universitas Nebraska, Omaha, 1971.
Ia menjabat di infanteri Angkatan Darat Amerika Serikat, mencapai pangkat sersan E-5, 1967-1968, dan bertugas di Vietnam pada 1968; penyiar berita dan tuan rumah taklk show di Omaha 1969-1971; asisten administratif untuk anggota DPR John Y. McCollister (R-Neb.) 1971-1977; manager urusan pemerintah untuk Firestone Tire & Rubber Company, Washington, D.C. 1977-1980; wakil administrator, United States Veterans Administration, 1981-1982; bankir investasi dan eksekutif bisnis di Washington dan Omaha; wakil direktur dan CEO Economic Summit of Industrialized Nations (G7) pada 1990; diangkat sebagai anggota Partai Republikan untuk senat AS pada 1996; diangkat kembali pada 2002 untuk masa jabatan yang berakhir pada 3 Januari 2009.
