Kelelawar ini ditemukan di Pantai Gading, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, dan Sierra Leone. Habitat alaminya adalah hutan dataran rendah lembap subtropis atau tropis dan sabana. Jantan berbobot 164–198 g (0,362–0,437 pon), sementara betina 85–132 g (0,187–0,291 pon).
