Estrana adalah turunan steroid C18 dengan kerangka gonana.
Estrena adalah turunan estrana yang memiliki satu ikatan ganda, contohnya adalah nandrolona.[2] Estratriena (estrin) adalah turunan estrana yang memiliki tiga ikatan rangkap, misalnya estrin (estra-1,3,5(10)-triena). Suatu golongan hormon seks wanita, yaitu estrogen—seperti estradiol, estrona, dan estriol—termasuk dalam kelompok estratriena.
