Reverendus Pater
Reverendus Pater (disingkat: R.P. atau Rev.P.) adalah gelar resmi bagi seluruh imam Gereja Katolik Roma yang mengucapkan kaul sebagai seorang religius dalam suatu ordo, serikat, tarekat, atau kongregasi yang diakui Gereja. Reverendus Pater berasal dari Bahasa Latin yang artinya "bapa yang terhormat".[1]
Gelar Reverendus Pater tidak diberikan kepada para imam diosesan. Para imam diosesan diberi gelar resmi Reverendus Dominus (disingkat: R.D.) yang artinya "tuan yang terhormat".
Penulisan
Penulisan nama seorang imam religius biasanya mengikuti urutan: (1)R.P. atau Rev. P. ; (2) nama lengkap ; (3) singkatan ordo, serikat, tarekat, atau kongregasi.[2]
