Tamandua utara (Tamandua mexicana) adalah sebuah spesies tamandua, yaitu sejenis pemakan semut pada famili Myrmecophagidae. Mereka hidup di hutan subtropis dan tropis dari Meksiko selatan, melalui Amerika Tengah, sampai ke ujung Andes utara.
Subspesies
Terdapat empat yang telah diakui:[3]
- T. m. mexicana - Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador
- T. m. instabilis - Venezuela, Kolombia utara
- T. m. opistholeuca - Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, sebagian besar Kolombia
- T. m. punensis - Ekuador, Peru
