Antetonitrus adalah sebuah genus dinosaurus sauropodiform yang hidup pada periode Jura Awal di Formasi Elliot, Afrika Selatan. Satu-satunya spesiesnya adalah Antetonitrus ingenipes. Terkadang dianggap sebagai sauropoda basal, genus tersebut penting untuk pemahaman cikal bakal dan evolusi awal dari kelompok tersebut. Genus tersebut merupakan herbivor quadrupedal, seperti kerabat-kerabatnya pada masa berikutnya, selain menunjukkan adaptasi primitif untuk memakai sendi depan untuk mencengkeram, alih-alih murni dukungan berat.[1]
