Protein GPIHB-1

Protein GPIHB-1 (bahasa Inggris: glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored high density lipoprotein–binding protein-1, GPIHBP-1) adalah sejenis glikoprotein hasil sekresi dari sel endotelial yang berfungsi sebagai substrat atau platfom bagi berlangsungnya reaksi hidrolisis yang terjadi di dalam pembuluh darah kapiler pada jantung, jaringan adiposa dan jaringan otot lurik, dikatalis oleh enzim lipoprotein lipase pada senyawa lipoprotein yang kaya akan trigliserida.[1]

GPIHBP-1 berperan dengan mengikat LPL, silomikron dan apolipoprotein AV. Defisiensi GPIHBP1 menyebabkan simtoma silomikronemia dan hipertrigliseridemia dengan plasma trigliserida mencapai 2000–5000 mg/dl. Mutasi genetik G56R homozigotis merupakan salah satu penyebab terjadinya defisiensi.
