Bahasa Kamoro
Bahasa Kamoro adalah bahasa yang termasuk kedalam rumpun bahasa Papua dari cabang Asmat–Kamoro yang dituturkan di pesisir selatan Kabupaten Mimika oleh sekitar 8,000 orang. Bahasa Kamoro memiliki keragaman dialek, dan Kamoro mungkin tidak dapat dianggap sebagai satu bahasa.[5]
Varietas
'Dialek-dialeknya adalah sebagai berikut.[5]
- Yamur (barat jauh di sekitar Danau Yamur dan Teluk Etna)
- Barat (Japakopare, Keakwa, dan Sungai Umari, 450 penutur pada tahun 1953)
- Tarja (Sungai Opa, 500 penutur pada tahun 1953)
- Tengah (Sungai Wakia ke hulu Sungai Mimika, 4.300 penutur pada tahun 1953)
- Kamora (Sungai Kamora, 400 penutur pada tahun 1953)
- Wania (Sungai Wania, 1.300 penutur pada tahun 1953)
- Mukumuga (Sungai Mukumuga, 800 penutur pada tahun 1953)
